Shahriyar continuously has retaken his Kamanche (spiked Fiddle) performances to illustrate parts of this enormous rich musical culture. At this tiny spring show will be presented several Kurdish dynamics and metric songs on Kamanche as well as Shahriyar’s new Kamanche pieces.
Kamanche (four strings Spiked-Fiddle) is one of the oldest bowed string instruments from the Byzantine Empire and Golden Age centuries, which has the dominant role in the music of Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Central Asia.
