From the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto to the West Coast of Newfoundland, comes a unique experience where musical cultures meet and play together in an intimate and beautiful environment. Audiences will hear chamber music rooted in Persian classical scales featuring kamanche, the Persian spiked fiddle, played by Shahriyar Jamshidi, and the western cello, played by Rafael Weinroth-Browne, from the Toronto-based duo Kamancello. Joining Kamancello will be some of Newfoundland;’s finest, playing a variety of traditional Newfoundland instruments, including guitar, accordion and fiddle.
